Welcome!
If you are expecting a baby, are a new parent, or know someone who is either of these, you've come to the right place.
The word doula (pronounced doo-luh) is Greek for "woman caregiver." Today, we use the term to describe a woman experienced in childbirth who provides information, physical comfort, and emotional support to a woman and her partner during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. A doula uses her knowledge and experience in a non-judgmental way to help families as they strive to achieve the birth they desire and adjust to life with a new family member.
